About Us
We are committed to promote sustainable development which is equitable and inclusive.

BATAS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of BATAS Organization, including enterprises like Manipal Teaching Hospital and other trading businesses with over 1,700 employees, is dedicated to community development through initiatives in education, livelihood, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and health as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Since its inception, the Foundation has provided scholarships to over 200 students from needy families across Nepal, with ongoing support from individual donors within the BATAS Organization.
BATAS Foundation collaborates with local corporate houses, academia, and financial institutions to help children complete their education. Recognized as a non-governmental and non-profit organization, we had worked in areas like Disaster Risk Reduction, Humanitarian and Emergency Response, Sustainable Livelihood, Vocational Training, and Climate Change Adaptation in remote communities of Nepal. We implement various projects with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Going forward, the Board has decided to focus mainly on Health, Education, Vocational training, and Humanitarian activities “ HHEV” particularly in the Gandaki Pradesh region.
