Promoting Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Disaster Risk Reduction to Build Community Resilience

  • Project Objectives: To empower youths to be economically self-sustainable and socially active by the creation of disaster-friendly business enterprises with sustainable economic opportunities.
  • The specific objectives are: 
    • To enhance capacity of youths on vocational skill for established enterprises.
    • To collaborate with local government, services providers, the private sector, and like-minded organizations for financial and technical support to training graduates.
  • Duration of Project: :24-July,2023 to 31 July 2024
  • Total Grant Amount: NPR 80, 80,279
  • BATAS Foundation CSR Contribution Amount: NPR.18,05,768
  • Beneficiaries: 70 youths from marginalized communities 
  • Project Location: Tulsipur SMC and Dullu Municipality 
  • Major Targeted Project Achievement of the Project :
    • Gap assessment analysis/Trade Identification for Vocational and Technical Training Program and Orientation to Selected Youths and Update the training package. 
    • Provide training to selected youths and support with skill test and certification Conduct Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) training as well as marketing skills, advocacy, and leadership to the trained youths.
    • Advocate and laision with local government and financial institutions for the successful establishment or initiated by the trained youths.
